Time Waits for No Man

It doesn’t matter what your traumas are. At least not in the way you think. Every single person has something that scarred them. A spouse that cheated. A parent that died too soon. A partner who left for someone else. Friends who betrayed them. Childhoods that were stolen. No one walks out of this life without wounds. But no matter how deep those wounds are, the world keeps moving.

You still have to wake up in the morning. You still have to go to school or work. You still have to decide what to eat. You still have to brush your teeth before bed. Life doesn’t ask if you’re ready. It doesn’t pause to give you time to process. It just keeps marching.

That doesn’t mean your pain is meaningless. It matters. It’s real. It’s part of you whether you like it or not. And if you ignore it forever, it will bleed into everything you do. You should take the steps to heal, to work through it, to face it. But you can’t let it become the only thing you see. If you focus too hard on a few leaks, you lose sight of the entire ship.

Time doesn’t care if you are broken. The clock ticks whether you are crying or laughing. The sun sets whether you are strong or weak. The world spins with or without you. That sounds harsh, but it is freeing too. Because it means you always have the choice to keep going. To keep moving even when you’re shattered. To keep steering your ship forward even if the water is pouring in.

You are not your trauma, even if it will always be part of you. You are the one who still wakes up. You are the one who still eats, still prays, still works, still brushes your teeth. You are the one who refuses to stop when time refuses to stop.
